Bathroom Remodeling FAQ
Answers to the questions North Texas homeowners ask most before starting their bathroom project.
Cost & Pricing
How much does a bathroom remodel cost in North Texas?▾
Costs range from $1,200 for a bath liner to $25,000+ for a full master bath renovation. Tub-to-shower conversions typically run $3,500–$7,500. Walk-in tubs: $4,000–$12,000 installed. We provide exact written quotes during free in-home estimates — no surprise charges.
What's included in a free estimate?▾
Our estimator visits your home, measures the space, checks your plumbing configuration, and walks you through all available options and materials. You receive a detailed written quote before we leave. No obligation to book.
Do you offer payment plans or financing?▾
Yes. We offer flexible financing through First Financial Bank, with low monthly payment options and 0% interest promotions. Programs are available for a range of credit profiles. Ask your estimator for current offers.
Are there any hidden fees?▾
Never. Our written quote covers all materials, labor, cleanup, and haul-away. The price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Tub-to-Shower Conversions
How long does a tub-to-shower conversion take?▾
Most tub-to-shower conversions in North Texas homes are completed in 1–2 days. We demo the tub, prep the space, install the new shower base and walls, and leave you with a fully functional shower — usually by day two.
Will removing my tub hurt my home's resale value?▾
In most cases, no — especially in multi-bathroom homes. Many buyers prefer walk-in showers. We recommend keeping at least one tub in the home for resale. If you have only one bathroom, we can discuss tub-shower combo options instead.
Can I choose custom tile for my shower conversion?▾
Yes. We offer both acrylic surround systems (most affordable, done in one day) and custom tile options. Your estimator will walk you through all material options with samples during your in-home visit.
Can you do a zero-threshold (barrier-free) shower conversion?▾
Yes. We offer low-threshold and zero-threshold shower entries — ideal for wheelchair users, those with balance issues, or anyone who wants easier access. These require a specific drain configuration, which we assess during the estimate.
Walk-In Tubs
What are the benefits of a walk-in tub?▾
Walk-in tubs offer safe, independent bathing for seniors and those with limited mobility. Features include a low 2-inch step-in, built-in grab bars, anti-slip flooring, and optional hydrotherapy jets for arthritis and joint pain relief.
How much does a walk-in tub cost in Texas?▾
Walk-in tubs in North Texas typically run $4,000–$12,000 installed, depending on the unit size, features (hydrotherapy jets, heated backrest), and any plumbing modifications needed.
Is a walk-in tub covered by Medicare?▾
Some Medicare Advantage plans cover walk-in tubs when medically necessary. VA grants may cover up to $6,800 for veterans. We can provide the documentation your provider needs to process a claim.
How long does walk-in tub installation take?▾
Most walk-in tub installations take 1–3 days depending on your existing plumbing configuration. We handle all plumbing connections and test the unit fully before we leave.
Accessibility & Safety
Can you install grab bars in any bathroom?▾
Yes. Grab bars can be installed in virtually any bathroom. We always anchor to wall studs or install reinforced blocking — never drywall anchors alone. Properly anchored bars can support 250+ lbs.
Do you do ADA-compliant bathroom modifications?▾
Yes. We install ADA-compliant fixtures, roll-in showers, grab bars, comfort-height toilets, and zero-threshold entries. If you need documentation for insurance or VA purposes, we can provide it.
What's the difference between a roll-in shower and a walk-in shower?▾
A roll-in shower has no curb at all — it's fully flush with the floor, allowing wheelchair access. A walk-in shower typically has a small threshold (½–1 inch). Both offer dramatically better safety than traditional tub-over-shower setups.
Process & Company
Do you use subcontractors?▾
No. TX Bath Remodel uses only our own trained, background-checked installation crew. The same team that visits for the estimate handles your installation — no day-labor subcontractors or rotating crews.
What does your lifetime warranty cover?▾
Our lifetime warranty covers both materials and labor for as long as you own your home. If anything fails — a seal, a door mechanism, a surface finish — we come back and fix it at no charge. No expiration, no fine print.
Are you licensed and insured?▾
Yes. TX Bath Remodel is fully licensed and insured in the state of Texas. We carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance on every project.
